Bagua
Bagua Zhang is a Chinese internal martial art with Daoist origins. The core of the system lies in the
practice of walking the circle. However, many generations of practitioners have added significantly
to the system, increasing the broadness of its content.
In the Yi Zong branch of Gao Style Bagua there are three components to the system. Pre Heaven Bagua
consists of two elements: circle walking and Pre Heaven Palm Changes.
Xing Yi
Xing Yi Quan is the simplest of the three internal styles. It focuses on creating whole-body power
as well as concentrating the mind. To do this there are three components to studying Xing Yi.
Tai Chi
Tai Chi is often described as “meditation in motion,” but it might well be called “medication in motion.”
There is growing evidence that this mind-body practice which originated in China as a martial art, has value in treating or preventing many health problems. And you can get started even if you aren’t in top shape or the best of health.
Qigong
Qigong, sometimes spelled Chi-Kung (pronounced chee-gung), is the study and practice of cultivating
vital life-force through various techniques, including:
- Breathing techniques
- Postures
- Meditations
- Guided imagery
